Office Job info : Parliamentary Information and Communication Technology




The Parliamentary Information Office of the Parliamentary Yearbook is currently gathering news items for major features on apprenticeships in the next edition.

Parliamentary Information and Communication Technology (PICT) helps connect Parliament and the public by using world-class technologies. The role of ICT Staff with Parliament has never been more important. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital supporting role in the joint department working for both Houses of Parliament.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our team assisting in the programme planning and management, working to the Head of Programme Office. You will be required to:

Provide support in completing and adhering to project management processes and using tools to maintain project data, co-ordinating across projects in the programme.
To play a significant assurance role to ensure that standards are being applied within the programme by PMs managing workstreams.
Develop and maintain time, resource, budget and exception plans and reports
Track and report on progress and performance within the projects.

We are looking for someone who has experience in the day-to-day support of multiple projects simultaneously, specifically with experience of working on IT programmes. Experience in a large, multi-stream programme would be an advantage and general experience in large IT departments with high availability critical business service where there are a diversity of business partners and conflicting requirements.
